What You Will Do
- Candidate will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during flight tests.
- Perform maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshoot problems.
- Install and troubleshoot experimental HW/SW, provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner.
- Troubleshooting will include industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures.
- Work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- 5+ years’ experience as a system administrator or development/support in the Linux, Solaris, Irix or other Unix environment
- Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
- Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Possess communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military/corporate customers and vendors.
- Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Strong teamwork skills – Ability to interact productively with other Raytheon Technologies Field Engineers and customers in a diverse team setting.
- Work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scope and complexity.
