Job Location – Pune/Noida
The Job:
- Help us lead the transformation to modernize observability, Tools & Cloud Automation Services at Pitney Bowes by leveraging the latest innovative technologies.
- Lead the development of single pane of glass for monitoring.
- Monitor and provide solutions for incidents and problems in a timely manner using monitoring and logging tools.
- Automate repetitive tasks, infrastructure, and deployment tasks using Ansible and Terraform.
- Support for day-to-day operations relating to cloud services, open-source applications, and business systems.
- Helping Application teams leveraging the automated infrastructure and providing the support for development and production.
- Leverage scripting languages such as Python/Bash/ Ruby to automate tasks on ad-hoc basis.
- Ability to configure, maintain, and monitor metrics, logs, and traces across distributed systems.
Qualifications & Skills required
As a SRE Observability and Automation, you have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience strong hands-on experience with AWS & other public cloud providers
- 5+ years of experience with Observability platforms such as Logic monitor, Grafana, Datadog or similar tools.
- 5+ years of experience with logging tools such as ELK, Loki, Splunk or similar tools
- 5+ years of experience hands-on experience with automation using Ansible, Python, and Terraform
- 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Bamboo, Gitlab or similar tools.
- 5+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python/Bash/ Ruby.
- Hands-on experience in setting up dashboards and monitoring the health of services.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and performance metrics.
- Experience with APM (Application Performance Management) tools.
- Experience in understanding networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) and how to monitor and diagnose issues.
- Experience with supporting development and production environments.
- Experience with ITIL practices.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Grafana.
- Public cloud certification.
