Slack is seeking a Technical Program Management Intern to help drive impactful programs within our Data Engineering Organization. At Slack Data Engineering, we aim to create a future where data-informed decision-making is seamless, empowering, and delightful for everyone.
As an intern in this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams such as Data Ingestion, Data Infrastructure, and other cross-functional partners to build a robust data ecosystem. Your work will enable teams to derive insights faster, accelerate innovation at Slack, and enhance productivity across the organization.
You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at leading programs with clarity and focus. With a solid understanding of data engineering concepts, you contribute effectively from both technical and execution standpoints.

What you will be doingDrive impactful programs across multiple functions throughout the organization.
Develop and iterate on visibility and alerting programs cross Product, and Engineering departments
Perform risk management, and scope management on your programs
Develop briefs, schedules, and release plans for your programs
Identify decisions required to move your programs forward and ensure decisions are made to unblock progress
Deliver process, tooling, and systems improvements for cross-functional teams with input from partners
Perform analysis on data sets and develop dashboards and reports to answer questions for the business
Drive timely program delivery by effectively communicating progress and proactively identifying and articulating risks
Contribute to the growth of the TPM organization by driving process improvement initiatives together with other TPMs
Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science or related fields such as Data Science and Research, Information Management graduating no earlier than December 2025
Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree
Must be attending a College or University in North America
Experience using analysis of data sets to solve problems and answer questions
The technical acumen to drive and influence decisions on implementation choices for your programs
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with agile product development practices and principles
Self-motivated and able to motivate others
Experience with SQL and working with data visualization software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excitement around working with stakeholders and across teams

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $54 to $54.
