Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 6 years of experience in marketing fields or in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., consulting, research, data journalism, product marketing)
Preferred qualifications:
- 12 years of professional experience in a quantitative/analytical field (e.g., consulting, research, data journalism, product marketing)
- Experience in independently identifying and leveraging credible data sources and working in a research team at a strategy consulting firm or a business publication
- Experience with data visualization and using AI to create high quality, insightful content
- Knowledge of the digital advertising landscape and advertiser needs
- Ability to produce high quality, forward-looking content independently and at pace

We’re looking for an analytical, data-driven colleague to develop data-driven, insightful content about the marketing and advertising industry. You will stay ahead of the latest trends at the intersection of marketing, advertising and AI, and identify potential themes that would be of interest to marketers, using public and proprietary data.
Responsibilities
- Develop a steady flow of data-driven content ideas on the latest developments at the intersection of marketing, advertising, and AI.
- Deliver long- and short-form content, including data visualizations and own development of content end-to-end from ideation, writing drafts, to editing.
- Partner with internal expert teams to ensure Google stories are strategic, accurate, and inspiring.
- Identify and heavily leverage external data sources to identify trends and insights for use in publication and conduct independent analysis for use in articles/content.
- Analyze performance of content and apply that analysis to optimize content development.
