In your role, you will lead the global strategy, operations, programs, and portfolio performance for the PE & VC Practice. You will leverage qualitative and quantitative analysis to design and operationalize the PE Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, lead identification, scoping, creating sectors of firms based on core attributes of size and past growth, forecasting oversight and rigor with our Regional Teams and execution of key strategic initiatives to drive team’s global growth, and drive the next evolution of the PE Portfolio Performance. You will be a key facilitator and bridge between the PE Practice and our Distribution teams sales and strategic operations and GTM teams; contributing to Company initiatives, representing the unique PE perspective; as well as bringing back new programs and key strategic initiatives to the Practice.
In addition, you will lead our annual planning cycle (Go for Growth), territory carving and quota allocations and closely partner with the Sales Strategy and Operations team; regional teams to integrate into their regional GTM strategies. You are expected to maintain a holistic view on business as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency, identify areas for future growth, and always bring a data-driven perspective to everything we do as a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Go-To-Market
* Act as a strategic thought partner and advisor and support our PE leadership team, the VC team and the Global Head of Private Equity Practice on key strategic initiatives and building operational excellence, and driving organizational change
* Develop our team’s go-to-market strategy (Global Private Equity Practice GTM) and be responsible for the execution of key elements
* Lead the group’s G4G process each year, interfacing with critical teams, ensuring the PE team is aligned with corporate objectives and designing territory and quotas to continue our high performance culture and results.
* Launch and lead long-term strategic and transformational initiatives across the Global team, bringing structured problem solving and critical thinking skills to complex problems
* Develop and implement the annual planning cycle in line with the broader business cadence (Go for Growth)
Operational Excellence
* Private Equity Data is not currently in Org62, oversee the implementation of key PE and VC data into Project Lotus and maintain data integrity and accurate reporting in current state (info not to be shared externally)
* Responsible for all Data Quality around PE Firm licensing and growth; Executive Presentation development of key trends, opportunities for furthe growth
* Responsible for ensuring Forecasting Reporting accuracy
* Overall PE activity data and analytics; overall trends and data per key OUs
Framework Agreements
* Own our Framework Agreements - the new forms, help our Relationship Managers negotiate these terms, manage all internal relationships to enable these successful FAs - Deal Desk, BAT, Legal.
OU Engagement
* Provide OU specific metrics and reporting, build relationships with the Strat & OPs team of our top OUs.
* Ensure quarterly reporting and oversee the new OU-Specific Slack Communciation Channels
* Build out Sales Programs in conjunction with PMM and Growth Marketing; and specific Sales Programs teams.
Assets and Accelerators
* Responsible for all enablement material development and continual updating of these decks, videos.
* Work with OU leader GTM teams to ensure their Sales Programs incorporate PE information and programs.
Portfolio Performance and Success
* Run Weekly Forecast calls for Amer, EMEA and Emerging Markets Regions.
* Track and report on all PE activity in relation to historical and per OU
* Identify areas for growth; manage the new PE firm segmentation
* Monthly and Quarterly Reporting to ELT
* Manage and Send Weekly Forecast reports to ELT
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* 10-12+ years of strategy and operations experience
* Develop and execute Salesforce's PE Practice global strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives; provide a key bridge between the PE & VC Practice and our Distribution Teams and their Sales Ops and Strategy teams.
* Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive business growth and operational excellence
* Lead and manage the global strategy and operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Practice, identifying and implementing new strategic initiatives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to global strategy and operations
* Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities for growth
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the progress and success of global strategy and operations initiatives
* Ensure effective resource management and budget allocation to support the achievement of strategic objectives
* Cultivate a diverse and inclusive work environment that promotes learning, creativity, and collaboration
* Stay current with industry developments and best practices, incorporating them into Salesforce's global strategy and operations
