We work collaboratively to help agencies plan, finance, develop, build, and deliver the next generation of infrastructure across the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Municipalities. The client issues we tackle include transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 $207,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Work you'll do
- Manage a talented team of Environmental Historic Preservation (EHP) professionals.
- Lead the review of grant applications being submitted to a government agency for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Endangered Species Act and other environmental regulations.
- Develop guidance, processes, policy, and training materials.
- Provide technical assistance to the government agency and grant applicants.
- Work closely with data analytics and Salesforce development teams to support functional design of an EHP screening tool and support translation of program policy.
- Contribute to the development of business and vendor relationships.
- Support pre-sales, RFPs, and proposals.
- Build upon senior-level client relationships.
- Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding experienced insights into client challenges.
- Manage solutions, delegate resources, and ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables.

Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience with NEPA, including experience developing NEPA environmental assessments and supporting federal agency NEPA categorical exclusions.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or performing NHPA Section 106 consultations with state or tribal historic preservation offices (SHPOs/THPOs) and an understanding of Section 106 processes, principles and measures required to protect historical and cultural resources.
- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or Science -related field.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to lead and support internal and external delivery teams.
- Client facing skills and experience.
- Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- Experience with federal infrastructure projects and grant programs, particularly broadband and utility infrastructure projects, such as with communications towers, buried fiber, and aerial utility lines.
- Previous Professional Services Firm experience.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Energy and Environmental Law, Environmental Engineering or Science-related field.
