Purpose of Job: The Vice President, Growth for Optum Financial will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve membership and financial growth targets. This role requires an understanding of the healthcare and fintech industries, as well as a proven track record in scaling businesses through organic, tangential, and inorganic opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven decision-maker with a passion for innovation and a solid ability to build internal and external relationships and lead cross functional teams.

Major Responsibilities
- Develop and bring to market consumer-centric products and strategies that accelerate Optum Financials growth across businesses and distribution channels.
- Create and lead cross-functional teams consisting of product, technology, marketing, operations, finance, and sales to drive alignment in the prioritization of growth resources, accelerate the pace of product innovation, and drive consistency in how Optum
- Financials brand is represented in the market.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of industry trends and develop actionable insights through ongoing data analysis, strategic research, and consumer/client feedback. Identify unmet consumer needs and industry pain points and aggressively drive solutions to
- address them.
- Provide leadership and establish standardized reporting that drives alignment on Optum Financials’ growth agenda, pipeline development, and financial projections.
- Inject a fresh perspective into how Optum Financials value proposition is communicated, focusing on what matters most to consumers and taking inspiration from best-in-class financial services companies and other industries.
- Collaborate effectively with internal business partners to optimize enterprise growth objectives, while fostering an internal culture of continuous improvement and a consumer orientation.
- Provide leadership and maintain accountability for the performance and results through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff.

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in strategy/growth/business development in a healthcare or fintech company
- Proven success exceeding company goals and deliverables
- Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective.
- Solid analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proven history of effective working relationships with key business partners to drive change agendas
- Innovative orientation and customer first mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business (MBA)
- Experience in taking products from ideation to full-scale production, with solid project management and product development skills.

The salary range for this role is $191,800 to $364,800 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
