ABOUR YOUR ROLE
- Drive sustainable process improvements that will reduce costs and increase efficiencies in the converting operations. Provide process engineering support for converting presses and supporting equipment.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Develop and implement processes, methods, tooling, and machine modifications for Inlay manufacturing.
- Analyze the thermal printing and inkjet printing processes and then develop and implement proper controls to assure a reliable operation.
- Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot failures to identify and resolve root cause of problems.
- Actively pursue opportunities to continually improve the processes that increase quality, throughput, and reduce cost, by utilizing lean/sigma tools.
- Define and Establish “Best Practices” in the strap attach and converting processes.
- Provide on-machine expertise to operators and technicians to ensure that manufacturing capability and capacity are meeting delivery and performance targets.
- Assist in managing AFE creation and expense plans.
- Assist operations and technical staff in developing solutions to problems occurring in the manufacturing process.
- Assists R&D, Platform team, and NPD staff in evaluating, testing and qualifying new equipment and processing strategies that will transfer to production operations.
- Identify, develop, and maintain a network of suppliers in China and abroad for obtaining technical information, service support, equipment and supplies.
- Develop test methods for qualifying new products, materials and processing procedures.
- New project management, identify the key control point of the project and coordinate with project team to be sure the project implement in schedule and budget.

Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing experience and of driving team excellence.
- Must have converting and web handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to communicate well in English.
- Firsthand experience with Arsoma, Comco and/or other Flexo printing platforms is an advantage.
- Proven leadership skills (lead and motivate people and project management skills).
- Certification in improvement processes is preferred (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
- Strong quantitative and analytical capability - strong statistical and computer background a plus.
- Solid understanding of business issues, metrics, and customer value.
- Expert knowledge of standard procedures and practices used in web handing operations.
- Previous experience writing ISO compliant procedures and standard work.
- Willingness to work with all levels of operational and professional staff across all shifts.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and projects over a wide range of priorities to completion.
- Experience with MSProject, AutoCAD and MS Office is preferred.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
