Are you ready to bridge the gap between creative vision and manufacturing reality? As our GPD Officer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our customer’s brands to life. You won’t just be managing data; you will be the owner of the product deployment process, ensuring that innovative branding solutions transition smoothly from concept to first-class production.
In this role, you act as the vital link between our Global Product Development Hub, Commercial Teams, and Operations. You will combine technical product expertise with commercial strategy to drive profitability and ensure quality.
REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary depending upon the functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
Act as the product development expert, demonstrating comprehensive technical knowledge for a given product line.
Execute the local item set-up through global artwork/spec repository.
Support re-engineer efforts in collaboration with Product Engineering.
Ensure the local manufacturing team receives all elements to achieve quality and lean production process (specs, color standards, work instructions)
Administer product sampling and test orders.
Support production to drive troubleshooting on first orders.
Perform profitability analysis based on manufacturing cost for new programs.
Create local and global price proposals using global tools and guidelines.
InterCompany Price Management within LATAM Sites.
Price List Creation and maintenance according to Commercial Strategy.
Support Pricing Escalation with Commercial Team.
Quote Letter creation and maintenance.
Liaise between Local GPD and Global Sampling & Product Deployment hub to deploy new items to production
Remain current on industry trends and product innovations to effectively partner with GPD Hub in leveraging Avery Dennison solutions
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Advanced English proficiency, capable of maintaining fluent business conversations.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Entry-level experience (0–2 years) in product development within manufacturing companies, including:
Interaction with global customers for product development.
Support in pricing processes.
Technical assistance for customer needs.
Experience in apparel, packaging, or graphic industries is highly desirable.
Skills and Knowledge
Analytical mindset for roadmaps and numerical problems.
Detail oriented; good at organizing information piece by piece, comfortable in handling multi-functional issues.
Knowledge of Apparel Industry, products and applications preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Strong technical aptitude.
