Solutions Architect
Job Details
Are you ready to architect cutting-edge media technology solutions for the world's most prestigious sports and media organizations? Do you excel at translating complex technical capabilities into business value while guiding clients through transformative digital journeys? As a Solutions Architect at Reuters Imagen, you'll be the technical bridge between our cloud-native Media and Archive Asset Management platform and clients like the IOC, FIFA, MLB, NBA, and Premier League. You'll lead consultative discovery processes that balance business needs with technical possibilities, design sophisticated integration architectures, and help organizations unlock the full value of their digital video and imagery assets. This is a high-impact role in a rapidly growing business where your technical expertise and consultative approach will directly influence both client success and product evolution. About the Role:
- Conduct technical discovery and requirements elicitation to understand client business outcomes, existing workflows, technical constraints, and integration dependencies, while guiding clients toward configuration-based solutions that optimize long-term value and maintainability.
- Design comprehensive technical solutions that align customer requirements with platform capabilities, including detailed integration architectures, data attribute mappings, configuration specifications, and scalability assessments for third-party systems and cloud services.
- Deliver customized product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to specific client use cases, presenting capabilities to diverse audiences from developers to executives while managing technical evaluations and pilot programs.
- Develop detailed proposals and technical documentation by collaborating with sales and professional services teams to create statements of work (SOW), effort estimations, integration specifications, architecture diagrams, and RFP responses with accurate implementation timelines.
- Collaborate across internal teams to support the sales cycle with technical guidance, communicate customer requirements to product management, conduct feasibility assessments with engineering, and lead seamless handoffs to implementation teams through deal reviews and client kickoff meetings.
- Build trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders as the primary technical point of contact during the sales process, addressing post-demo questions and maintaining deep understanding of industry-specific technical requirements in sports, media, and broadcast sectors.
- You're a fit for the role of Solutions Architect if you have the following required qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical sales support for Enterprise or SaaS software implementations.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, hosting architectures, and storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers) with ability to design scalable, secure deployments.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, data relationships, and cross-system data reconciliation, including ability to define integration requirements with business purpose, data attributes, and process dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and requirement matrices that clearly communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Proven track record leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, etc.) for daily productivity including research, content creation, analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to facilitate requirements discussions, handle technical objections, and explain sophisticated technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong project and time management skills, able to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively across time zones in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Experience within sports, media, or broadcast technology sectors with understanding of the competitive Media Asset Management (MAM) or Digital Asset Management (DAM) landscape.
- Knowledge of video codecs, transcoding, metadata standards, content delivery workflows, and third-party integrations such as file accelerators, live ingest protocols, or API integrations.
- Understanding of AI services and their application in video processing, automated tagging, data enrichment, and intelligent content discovery, with ability to map these capabilities to business outcomes.
- Familiarity with CRM and project management platforms such as Salesforce, Azure DevOps, or Monday.com.
- Fluency in English.
