An exciting opportunity has arisen as our current Nurse Specialist - Parkinson's is advancing to a new role within our organization. We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated professional to become our next Nurse Specialist - Parkinson's and continue making a difference for patients with advanced Parkinson's disease.
The purpose of your position is to ensure the effective education, training, and support of all stakeholders involved in the care of patients receiving treatment for advanced Parkinson's disease.
In your role you will play a vital role in the management and delivery of advanced Parkinson’s disease therapies. Successful administration of the treatment depends on close collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, alongside comprehensive patient and caregiver education. This role requires expertise in all aspects of the infusion system, including pump operation, infusion set and tube placement, and ongoing patient support. Delivering effective training and aftercare ensures optimal therapy outcomes and enhances quality of life for patients and their families. You work closely with our internal organization and externally with various stakeholders. You report to the Head of Medical Affairs, Specialty Care in Finland.
We are looking for a motivated and independent healthcare professional with substantial hands-on nursing experience and a strong background in neurology.
Ideally you are today working as a nurse where you are treating Parkinson's patients. Alternatively you are working as a nurse in a hospital setting.
As a person you are comfortable working in diverse environments and thrive within multidisciplinary matrix teams. Your integrity, social sensitivity, and commitment to continual professional growth set you apart. You possess excellent communication and training skills, enabling effective collaboration at all levels across the organization. Your interpersonal skills and adaptability equip you to support both colleagues and patients in high-pressure situations and to meet tight deadlines.
In addition to your ability to organize and manage your own workload, you bring a willingness to travel as the position requires relatively frequent travel to hospital centers in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku. Therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
You are fluent in Finnish and preferably some working proficiency in English, Swedish will be beneficial.
