Skills and Competencies
- Hands-on experience in media production, including but not limited to video and podcast creation
- Experience working in editorial environments, such as internships in financial services or media companies, or involvement in student publications
- Familiarity with major social media platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro is a plus
- Ability to develop and execute content specifically designed for social media audiences
- Genuine interest in current affairs, with a commitment to staying informed and engaged with contemporary issues
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field
- Available for a 10-week internship from June 15 to August 21, 2026
Responsibilities
The Multimedia Intern will collaborate with video producers, editors, and others to craft videos that are tailored for diverse platforms.
- Help research and pitch ideas for video podcasts, and other standalone video content. Successful ideas will link Moody’s Ratings expertise with events and topics that are timely and relevant to financial markets
- Partner with Senior Video Editor and Supervising Producer to shoot interviews and talking head videos of senior experts speaking about key topics that effect global markets. The output of such shoots must be high-quality and following industry standards
- Edit and package footage to professional standards for multi-platform distribution (e.g., YouTube Shorts)
- Use strong understanding of social media trends and best practices to inform the entire content creation and distribution workflow
- Work closely with a highly collaborative team and contribute original ideas by independently researching and exploring creative approaches

The Research Graphics & Multimedia team within the Moody’s Ratings Research department is responsible for producing memorable digital content that brings Moody’s Ratings insights to life. The Multimedia Intern will join an innovative, global team of individuals skilled in a range of creative and technical areas such as video editing, software engineering, and data journalism. We thrive on curiosity and experimentation, embracing new tools like agentic AI and expanding our presence on social platforms to deliver engaging experiences for our audience.
