The role of Business Development Senior Manager is a key position within Visa Inc., located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Reporting directly to Marcos Marins, this role is part of the Acceptance Sales Brazil cost center (50643), under the Sales
Business Development job family. The company offers a variety of branded payment platforms that its financial institution clients leverage to develop credit, charge, deferred debit, prepaid, and cash access programs for cardholders.
The Business Development Senior Manager is responsible for supporting sales initiatives focused on Acquirers, Payment Facilitators, and Wallets within our portfolio, with a concentration on expanding payment acceptance in the market. Working closely with Sales Directors, the manager structures business plans, sales pitches, and account plans, assisting in strategy execution and deal closure. The position also involves representing Visa at business meetings and industry events attended by clients. This role requires availability for both domestic and international travel and is an integral part of the Visa Merchant Sales & Solutions organization.
Job Scope and Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture beneficial relationships with clients to promote mutual business growth.
- Apply a technical sales approach to align Visa solutions with client needs.
- Develop and coordinate business development opportunities, product innovations, and client focused initiatives, including the creation of sales materials and proposals.
- Design and implement relationship management plans for assigned clients, achieving business objectives through well executed initiatives.
- Develop sales strategies, business cases, and financial models to manage the sales process and achieve volume and revenue targets.
- Participate in market analysis and contribute to local business development strategies.
- Collaborate with internal Visa teams to deliver exceptional client support.
- Devise new approaches to increase processing volumes.
- Support revenue growth by assisting clients in exploring new verticals, business models, and cash conversion opportunities.
- Organize client meetings and develop presentations to communicate Visa value proposition effectively.
- Plan and implement management tools for various client initiatives.
- Analyze, review, and track documentation requests to ensure they are fulfilled appropriately and in a timely manner, maintaining clear communication.
- Report status and key performance metrics to management on a weekly basis
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required, MBA preferred.
Significant expertise in the financial industry, including payment and card acceptance, with at least ten years of relevant business, sales, and management experience.
Desired experience includes work with acquirers, retail, and prior roles in consulting.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with clients.
Proven ability to sell complex and technical products and services.
Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to understand, communicate, and discuss technical product requirements.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and talent for developing new business partnerships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, achieving high levels of success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English and Portuguese, proficiency in Spanish preferred.
Proficient in Power BI, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
