Reporting to the Head of Marketing Services, Sub Sahara Africa, the role will be accountable for leading the Client Marketing strategy for a key client and supporting the delivery of Marketing Advisory Services with the client. This is a pivotal role ensuring effectiveness of marketing strategy through Client partnerships with the goal of achieving Visa’s business and brand objectives in this critical market.
The purpose of the role is to strategize and partner with the Client and Account teams to identify opportunities to drive Account Plans that lead to successful commercial outcomes for the client. This will be done through leveraging Visa marketing & communications brand, assets, and capabilities, to develop co marketing programs which deliver measurable and mutually beneficial business outcomes.
The selected leader must have organizational savvy and interpersonal skills to build fast rapport and credibility. Close collaboration with both executive client stakeholders and Visa leaders is essential, as is a deep experience in Stakeholder Management, Client Engagement and Strategic & executional capabilities. This leader will have a proven track record of success in fast paced environments with demanding timelines. and will be equally comfortable interacting with “C suite” executives and junior team members.
Principal Responsibilities-Key Results Area:
- Responsible for developing and commercializing a suite of Marketing Services to deliver a sustainable, profitable, and long-term revenue driver for Visa.
- Embed digital capabilities into client projects and ensure demonstratable business impact
- Develop a path to driving an embedded model with top strategic clients across the region, where there is repeatable and committed revenue/engagement each year.
- Partner with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) to develop (One Visa) strategic operating model to help better serve our clients and maximize revenue for both VCA and Marketing.
- Manage inputs, tracking and accuracy on standardized visa systems for coordinating project governance, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Manage the annual client planning cycle through a strategic, bottom-up approach.
- Partner with the regional leadership to support strategic thought leadership and advancement of larger sponsorship and non-sponsorship client offerings.
- Champion cross-functional operating model, including with country Client Marketing leads, VCA and Finance
- Develop clear and concise executive level communications to report on the progress and financials business impact to both client and Visa.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
