The selected candidate will be providing consultancy services mainly to Visa Direct Enablers (Acquirers, PSP, processors), but also key merchants, to identify, define, and initiate execution of real-time payment technical solutions - keeping in mind evolving market, client, and consumer needs with the objective of driving significant future market growth for Visa.
Visa Direct Europe’s Enablers strategy focuses on forging strategic partnerships with enabler mainly acquirers, processors, ERPs, gateways, and core banking providers to deliver Visa Direct capabilities and drive adoption across European markets. This approach is being formalized through a dedicated Partnerships organization, which includes regional business development and account management roles. The goal is to expand our footprint, unlock new commercialization paths, and accelerate pipeline conversion into revenue through standardized onboarding, solutioning, and joint go-to-market initiatives. These include programmatic enablement efforts such as Instant/Faster Refunds and AFT migration.
The candidate will be responsible for driving strategic enablement and growth of Enablers, as well as leading strategic initiatives to ensure we accelerate time to revenue and are able to drive further volume. Must possess a unique combination of technical skills - deep understanding of payments processing, banking systems, consumer behaviour and Visa’s business – and outstanding client facing skills, such as excellent influencing ability to help execute the strategy for Visa Direct Enablers in Europe. Key responsibilities will include:
- Engage European Enablers (Acquirers, PSPs, Processors, ERPs, …) and deliver agreed targets for Visa Direct Enabler growth
- Work with clients and partners to drive enablement and setup optimisation that will facilitate revenue growth
- Drive definition of technical solutions that meet partner and Visa growth objectives
- Lead significant strategic engagements with partners critical to the success of Visa Direct and support strategic launches
- Contribute to the optimisation of the current delivery framework and processes to accelerate time to revenue – identifying trends and proposing solutions for common client pain points
- Lead consultancy on best practices covering all aspects of Visa Direct origination
- Contribute to the product development, identifying areas of improvements and implementing solutions
- Project manage and communicate the enablement and optimisation of new and existing clients
- Report against OKRs of their portfolio and their team
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with senior colleagues to embed Enabler practices that drive success
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Experience in Payments / money movement field is essential. Visa Direct knowledge highly desirable.
Mid to senior level experience in a Programme/Product role for new payment product technologies and capabilities – including technical/commercial/consultancy
Experience simplifying the complex and removing commercial and technical barriers to execution
Passion for future of payments and customer experience
Experience working across European markets in the payments sector
Ability to balance complex mix of interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, outstanding communication skills and commercial judgement to drive outcomes
Independent day- to-day working, self-directed based on a sound understanding of overall strategy
Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
Driven, resilient, with attention to detail and positive under pressure
Excellent analytical skills and exposure to BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI etc.)
Solid understanding of modern technologies (e.g. APIs, cloud solutions etc.)
Excellent Programme/Project Management skills
Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
