DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostic assessments, and minor repairs on engines and power generation equipment at customer sites.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand concerns, explain findings, and outline next steps, ensuring a positive service experience.
- Utilize a range of mechanical and electronic tools to troubleshoot issues and execute service tasks with precision and safety.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including service worksheets, inspection reports, timesheets, and warranty submissions.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and well-stocked service vehicle to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Actively participate in training, mentoring, and upskilling opportunities to expand technical expertise and meet evolving business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- A vocational diploma or trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field).
- A valid and current driver’s license to travel to various customer locations.
- Basic hands-on experience working with engines, generators, or related equipment—workshop or field service experience desirable.
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally through technical training and on-the-job mentorship.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to safety protocols and demonstrated awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, schematics, and service documentation processes (preferred but not mandatory).
- Additional licenses such as HR or forklift (highly regarded).
