This role will report into the Head of VCS, UK&I. This is a unique opportunity to be part of expanding sales organization outside core Visa offerings in the fast-moving world of payments.
We are looking for an experienced payments professional to join the VCS UKI team to manage strategic relationships for a portfolio of key commercial issuer clients. This role is focused on building deep partnerships with the clients, executing on a clear plan to transform the relationships, managing current business and leading future growth opportunities. Primarily a client relationship management role, this individual will also lead business development initiatives, targeting new business growth within their assigned portfolio.
What we expect of you, day to day:
- Be the lead interface between the assigned clients and Visa, leading on all day-to-day interactions, engaging across multiple levels within Visa and the Clients. Be Visa’s “CEO” for each client.
- Ensure the retention of Visa’s existing business with the assigned clients and proactively develop incremental business streams.
- Meet targets for net revenue, profitable payments volume and other strategic objectives.
- Work alongside each client, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building high quality relationships.
- Develop and own strategic account plans, coordinating senior stakeholder engagement and managing business under contract.
- Identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the client’s business objectives and priorities.
- Own the development of the overarching strategy for each client and Visa.
- Engage with cross-functional colleagues ensuring teams such as product, marketing, client services and consulting are appropriately involved and supporting client development.
- Identify opportunities and engage with Visa SMEs to provide clients with thought leadership on payment market trends.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of all Visa products and services, to identify opportunities aligned to client’s requirements.
- Manage contractual budgets, investing in initiatives that have mutual benefit to the client’s and Visa’s business priorities (e.g. adoption of new Visa capabilities, penetration of value-added services).
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Experience
- Medium level B2B sales experience, particularly in digital product or solutions
- Experience selling to fintech customers
- Track record of delivering against sales targets
Knowledge Focus Areas
- Understanding of digital payment process and platforms
- Deep knowledge of the various sales cycles and stages
Skills/competencies
- The successful candidate will effectively own end-to-end relationships with clients and manage them throughout the entire sales motion. In doing so, the candidate is able to work collaboratively across internal Visa functions to build a Visa network, solve complex problems, and serve as the face of Visa to external partners.
- The ideal candidate will bring passion for and interest in Payments, Fintech, with client-relationship building skills, presence, knowledge and strategies and priorities. This is a proactive candidate that is resilient when faced with challenges and has the ability to execute on ambitious revenue goals and quotas.
