Program Manager (m/f/d) for pre-operative planning systems
As a Program Manager you will be a key member in our PMO team based in the OrthoTech division, who is responsible for computer based surgical planning and guidance systems which support surgeons along their pre-, intra- and post-operative workflows.
You will help to drive towards innovative technologies and your contribution will have an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
What you will do:
- You will successfully manage an international product development program, focusing on pre-operative planning systems and tightly deliver it within scope, schedule, cost and quality constraints.
- You will work embedded in a surgical planning ecosystem and balance the needs of multiple target customer groups for the main elements of this ecosystem
- In order to deliver market-driven high quality products on time, you show exceptional collaboration and communication skills with the project managers in your program, your key business stakeholders, along with the other roles in the project team.
- You work in parallel on execution of current and planning of next software releases while clearly coordinating additional activities for general improvements
- You use program management tools and techniques to ensure the results of underlying projects provide the expected cumulative business value of the program
- You will be working closely with our marketing and customer care departments and understand product strategies as well as end-user needs to drive business success.
- You will regularly report the program status to all stakeholders outlining progress, achievements and risks. You take ownership on resolving issues.
What you will need:
- You haven an advanced degree in (medical-, bio-) engineering, computer science, natural sciences, MBA or in a equivalent field of studies.
- You have five to eight years of experience in managing projects or programs as a Project Manager or Program Manager respectively, ideally with a focus on software and in a regulated environment with proven success.
- You have a strong drive for Medical Device Engineering and are passionate about using state-of-the art technologies.
- You enjoy managing, motivating and inspiring cross-functional project teams.
- Having experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies would be a plus.
- Your great communication skills in English enable you to interact easily in an innovative, international and intercultural environment.

Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg or Berlin should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments.
