Skills and Competencies
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in invoicing and collection management, with knowledge of accounting as a plus.
- Familiarity with Moody’s Local services, capital markets in Central America, and the ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategy development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish, intermediate English proficiency, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multicultural environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, aptitude for continuous learning, and the ability to quickly acquire new skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business; or relevant experience for the position in case the person holds a degree in other field.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily collections and maintain an up-to-date invoice tracking report across all countries.
- Process invoices through electronic invoicing systems and accurately record bank transactions for accounting and compliance purposes.
- Prepare expense reports for income tax withholding declarations and compile internal financial statements with supporting documentation for internal committees and regulators.
- Oversee financial statement approvals by the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, ensuring timely compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate external audits, including obtaining quotes, analyzing proposals, presenting recommendations, and preparing official communications for supervisory authorities.
- Draft and submit memos, sworn statements, and audited financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the commercial team by drafting contracts, proposals, and leading RFP processes, including coordinating inputs and managing deadlines.
- Monitor market trends, assist with lead generation, and collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Accounting) to resolve issues effectively.

Moody's management team is essential to the efficient functioning of our organization. Comprised of dedicated, detail-oriented professionals, this team ensures that our internal operations run smoothly and efficiently. We work closely with all departments, we value organization, effective communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. In addition, the sales team drives business expansion and develops new relationships with customers within Central American countries. Its main objective is to support sales efforts, increase mandates and revenues, and strengthen market presence in the domestic financial sectors.
