Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer, implement and support cloud services that underpin scientific and R&D related activities.
  • Provide consultation and support for cloud solutions with a focus on best practices and security.
  • Investigate and engineer new technologies focused on containerization and automation to enhance and secure cloud platforms while fostering agility for the business.
  • Specific duties include: Automate deployment and support of EKS clusters, including designing, executing, and supporting cloud services such as AWS, AWS EKS, and Docker.
  • Develop and provide ongoing support of HELM Charts, CFTs and other various templates.
  • Provide support for application deployments, not limited to but including assisting with HELM Charts, Cloud formation Templates, Jenkins Pipeline configuration and ArgoCD Pipeline configuration.
  • Develop container deployment strategy in line with current deployment and automation toolsets (GIT, Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the engineering and implementation of new cloud applications or solutions. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 36 months job offered or closely related field. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related field. With either combination of education and experience, position requires three years of experience with the following technologies and/or skills: Automated deployment, administration, and support of EKS (Kubernetes) clusters; Development and ongoing support of HELM Charts, CFTs or related templates; Supporting application deployment, administration and support of applications including HELM charts, CloudFormation templates, Terraform, Jenkins Pipeline and ArgoCD pipeline configuration; Developing container deployment strategy in line with current automation toolsets, including GIT, Jenkins, HELM, ArgoCD, Ansible, CloudFormation and Terraform; Linux OS administration; CI/CD tooling and automation utilizing GIT, Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform; Designing, executing, and supporting services such as AWS, AWS EKS and Docker; Scripting skills (Shell, Bash, or Python); and AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments.


Additional Information

Salary: $117,957 - $157,500 per year
