Profile Description
We are seeking a IT Development Lead (Vice President) to join our MSIM Data & Client Reporting IT team in Mumbai. This is a great opportunity for an experienced lead developer to join a highly professional client facing development team, working on Strategic MSIM Data & Reporting platforms by designing & implementing cutting edge capabilities & tools to enable the business. You will be working on full application lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment, by partnering with global IT and business stakeholders across the firm to analyse requirements, conduct business analysis, create proof of concepts and come up with proposed designs for review by the wider team, implement and test the solution and finally provide training and support as part of the roll-out.

This is a Lead Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
Responsibilities:
- Has in-depth understanding of the full software development life cycle. Deep familiarity with data & business analysis, along with modern software design & development concepts encompassing a range languages, frameworks, platforms & products.
- Can own medium to large scale strategic initiatives/projects, enhances process standards and best practices and supports L3 issues for currently live systems.
- Understands business needs and priorities and provides thought leadership on potential solutions and the opportunities for technology to create positive impact on the business.
- Has excellent analytical and problem solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipates issues and deals with them proactively.
- Is team oriented, highly collaborative, works effectively to build strong long term partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a variety of business and IT functions.
- Self-sufficient and shows ability to lead a team of developers, given the opportunity
- Demonstrates a passion for technology innovation balanced with a pragmatic approach to developing and deploying solutions that best benefit the business.
- Nimble, adaptable, able to express ideas in meetings & design discussions, comfortable with ambiguity; course correct when circumstances change.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor of Engineering.
- 10-15 years of total professional experience.
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- Business Analysis – Investment Management accounting & data concepts (Equities/Fixed Income/ Alternatives/Multi-Asset)
Primary Tech skills
- Core Java
- Spring Boot
- Web services (REST/SOAP)
- Database/SQL (Snowflake/DB2/SYBASE)
- DevOps tools and lifecycle - Git, Jenkins, Junit, Sonar, Mockito
- Working knowledge of Python
Good to have skills
- Familiarity with AI frameworks, data and reporting tools
- Exposure to UI Technologies
- Familiarity with Asset Tokenization
- Understanding of Equity, Fixed Income and/or Alternatives trade lifecycle
