Job Title: Senior Analyst/Lead Analyst – Commissions
Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid) – minimum 2-3 days per week in office
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Depending upon the role (12 PM – 9 PM / 2 PM – 11 PM)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Commissions Transformation & Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely commission processing while driving operational efficiency and leveraging advanced data analytics.
This position is designed for someone who wants to move beyond manual processing into problem solving, process redesign, and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence how commissions operations evolve, working on initiatives that enhance automation, scalability, and business impact.
You will partner with Finance, IT, Sales Operations, and other cross-functional teams to:
- Own end-to-end operational processes for commissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Process, cleanse, and validate data for compensation calculations.
- Calculate and validate commissions based on compensation rules through payout submission.
- Develop and optimize workflows and SOPs to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Respond to and resolve complex queries from sales representatives and leadership with detailed research and actionable solutions.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities related to commissions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Leverage advanced analytics to provide insights that influence business decisions and improve performance.
Technical & Analytical Responsibilities:
- Utilize tools such as SQL and Alteryx for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to Commissions Leadership.
- Apply strong data analytics skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Work with ICM systems (Varicent preferred; SAP Callidus, SPIFF, or Xactly experience is a plus) to manage compensation rules and ensure accurate payouts
About You:
- Experience: 4–6 years in Finance, Accounting, or Sales Compensation with a strong operational and analytical focus.
- Education: MBA in Finance, Master’s in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation).
- Proficiency in SQL and Alteryx for data manipulation and process automation.
- Familiarity with ICM systems (Varicent, SAP Callidus, Xactly).
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Exposure to AI tools and technologies for process automation, data analysis, or reporting enhancements.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
