Skills and Competencies

• Understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience with C# and/or Python
• Experience with unit testing, Git, and Cloud environments
• Familiarity with async programming, APIs, and JSON serialization
• Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
• Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

• Currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to contribute to enhancements and new features across C#‑based tools, including an Excel add‑in used internally
• Support the development of Python‑based data and analytics workflows delivered to end users
• Contribute to refactoring, documentation, testing, and other core engineering practices that improve code quality and maintainability
• Assist in designing and building automation solutions using Python to streamline analytics delivery
• Participate in projects that explore emerging technologies, including AI‑driven approaches to improve engineering efficiency

About the team
Moodys Analytics provides advanced data and analytics services focused on risk management to the financial markets. We have development teams in New York, San Francisco, London and Prague. Our Prague teams are focused in developing various delivery mechanisms to our clients and incorporate a variety of technology stacks including C# .Net, Python, microservices, cloud and REST API.
