Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated finance professional with a strong analytical mindset, proven ability to analyze large data sets, and concisely communicate key business insights to senior stakeholders. This position will report directly to the Senior Finance Analyst and is focused on managing spend forecasts within Autodesk’s corporate functions and reporting and analyzing consolidated data supporting FP&A-G&A FBPs. You will also be responsible for monthly reporting around spend and assist in providing ad-hoc analyses to help support business decisions
Responsibilities
Own monthly consolidated forecasting, variance analysis and cost reporting for cloud, data center, network, PC/hardware and IT support cost pools
Provide Cloud FinOps support: analyze cloud billing, build driver-based forecasting models in partnership with business leaders, and manage all forecast submissions and reconciliations
Track and analyze SaaS and enterprise AI consumption and costs; recommend licensing, governance and optimization approaches that reduce waste and improve value
Manage hardware lifecycle economics and support operating spend analysis for infrastructure investments
Partner with business stakeholders (engineering, IT operations, procurement, vendor managers and business unit owners) to align on budgets, explain variances and translate analysis into actionable decisions
Lead chargeback/cost allocation, GL reconciliations, month-end accounting support, accruals and basic capital accounting to ensure accurate financials and controls
Maintain and improve financial processes and automation using Excel, Adaptive Planning, and enterprise AI tools; develop and maintain robust models and dashboards to support stakeholders
Serve as the finance lead on vendor and contract reviews: validate invoices, identify billing issues, and quantify supplier savings opportunities
Drive ad-hoc analyses and cross-functional cost optimization initiatives (cloud, SaaS, hardware and AI); communicate findings and recommended actions to senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
5+ years of progressive finance experience supporting technology, cloud, infrastructure or IT organizations
Demonstrated experience managing business partners and influencing stakeholders across engineering, IT operations and procurement
Strong accounting knowledge including month-end close, GL reconciliations, accruals and capital accounting principles
Hands-on Cloud FinOps experience with public cloud cost models (AWS/Azure/GCP) and experience with IBM reporting suite, including Cloudability
Experience with data center and hardware costing
Experience managing SaaS and enterprise AI cost drivers and governance.
Advanced Excel skills and demonstrable experience with Adaptive Planning; experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or SQL is a plus
Excellent analytical, modelling and communication skills; ability to present complex topics succinctly to senior business and finance leaders
