Position Overview:
We’re hiring a Chief of Staff for AEC Experience & Analytics (XA) to partner closely with the VP of Experience & Analytics and enable the team’s success across Autodesk’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) product portfolio. This person will be a senior individual contributor and strategic execution leader who will help the team shape, operationalize, and deliver the future of Autodesk’s AEC user experiences. This person will combine strong product thinking, operational excellence, and cross-functional influence. The Chief of Staff acts as a force multiplier for the VP and the XA leadership team—driving clarity, alignment, and momentum across experience strategy, personalization, insight, and ways of working.
The role sits at the intersection of design, product, data, AI, and research, with a clear mandate to help translate ambitious experience vision into shipped, measurable outcomes. This is a critical executive-level role reporting to the VP of Experience & Analytics and serving as a senior member of the AEC Experience & Analytics Leadership team. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders across design, engineering, product, and business to evolve our team’s strategy in alignment with our agentic product vision.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of how professionals plan, design, build, and operate—through AI-powered, conversational, and agentic experiences. You’ll be instrumental in transforming our product ecosystem to deliver intelligent, unified experiences that delight and empower millions of users.
This role can be 100% remote in California or Massachusetts and will report to our VP, User Experience.
Travel requirements will be approximately 20%.
Responsibilities
Strategic Partner & Advisor to the VP of XA
Act as a trusted thought partner to the VP of Experience & Analytics
Support strategy development, prioritization, and decision-making
Represent the VP in cross-functional forums when appropriate
Develop clear, executive-ready narratives, operating reviews, and communications
Drive Experience Strategy into Product Delivery
Help operationalize the shift from feature-based development to outcome- and workflow-driven experiences
Coordinate cross-functional execution toward simplified, integrated, agentic user experiences
Ensure initiatives focused on growth, onboarding, trust, and engagement are embedded in experience strategy
Track progress, dependencies, and impact across the experience portfolio
Enable UX Quality, Craft, and Design Systems
Drive adoption and evolution of design frameworks (e.g., Weave) in partnership with design and product leaders
Support operational mechanisms that elevate quality and craft (critiques, guidelines, experience reviews)
Ensure joyful moments—color, illustration, motion, tone—are intentionally designed and consistently applied
Help define success metrics for experience quality and cohesion
Support Personalization & AI-Driven Experiences
Act as a connector across design, data, AI, and product teams to enable personalization at scale
Support delivery of personalized experiences starting with Assistant and evolving agentic products
Clarify ownership, milestones, and dependencies across complex initiatives
Translate technical and data-heavy work into clear, decision-ready insights
Scale Insight to Inform Prioritization
Partner with Research and Analytics leaders to scale insight through automation and AI
Help embed personas and critical user journeys (CUJs) into planning and execution
Promote participatory research practices that increase cross-functional understanding
Ensure insights directly inform prioritization and are clearly communicated to stakeholders
Operational Excellence & Program Leadership
Partnering closely with the XA Design Operations Manager, own XA planning rhythms, OKRs, dashboards, and operating cadences and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and tooling to increase scale and quality
Partner with other Chiefs of Staff and Strategy & Ops leaders across Autodesk
Culture, Ways of Working, and Talent Enablement
Support an inclusive, respectful, and high-trust XA culture
Enable new AI-driven ways of working that improve decision quality and velocity
Support learning opportunities and business acumen across the XA team
Build strong partnerships across AEC and with adjacent product, platform, and AI teams

Experience strategy is tightly connected to product delivery
Cross-functional partners see XA as a strategic product partner
Personalization and insight visibly shape product decisions

Minimum Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in product strategy, product operations, design operations, program management, and/or management consulting
Prior success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a product organization
Strong product and systems thinking skills, with fluency across design, research, data, and AI concepts
Exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting product, design, or platform teams at scale
Background in product experience, platforms, and AI-enabled products
