Production Applications Support Analyst

This challenging role is now available in our Production Support team in Budapest for someone with solid application support experience in a global environment.

What roles you will have:

• Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications.

• Utilize good understanding of apps support procedures and ITIL concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to field issues and queries from stakeholders, provide short-term resolutions and work with relevant technology partners for long term remediation.

• Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors.

• Participate in disaster recovery testing, application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.

• Perform post release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates.

• Analyze applications to identify risks, support procedure gaps, vulnerabilities and propose solutions.

• Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information; resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions

• Work with various vendors and ensure that issue resolution is as per Citi’s standards and there is timely notification to the customers for the ongoing production issues.

What skills we require:

• 2-5 years’ experience in handling production support activities, identifying and resolving technical issues.

• Experience with handling ETL jobs in Oracle/PL SQL with sound expertise in UNIX to identify issues at data level and trace file transfers from one system to another.

• Ticketing tools like ServiceNow, scheduling tools like AutoSys.

• Experience on shell scripting would be added advantage.

• It is desired but not mandatory to have experience with ETL Development tools.

• Previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices.

• Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products.

• Knowledge/ experience of problem management, issue tracking and reporting using tools.

• Fluency in English
