Job Summary
This role operates machines and production equipment safely and independently in a manufacturing environment in accordance with defined quality and productivity requirements. The position supports mass production on assembly lines, achieves daily production targets, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. The role may also coach or instruct others while working with limited guidance and rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
- Stop work immediately and report any major injury hazards.
- Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, and hazards promptly.
- Comply with all HSEMS, safety standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Promote an interdependent safety culture by looking out for one another.
- Correct hazards within individual control and capability.
- Recognize environmental impacts of work activities and minimize negative effects.
- Participate actively in HSE training programs.
Production & Delivery
- Operate manual and automated machines and production equipment independently to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Achieve daily production targets while working at defined cycle times and engineering standards.
- Work across all three shifts as per production requirements.
- Perform planned operator care, basic maintenance, housekeeping, and machine cleaning activities.
- Remain flexible and perform additional duties as required to meet production goals.
- Work with peers, skilled trades, and support teams to identify equipment issues and support repairs.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures including SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards.
- Perform quality inspections and identify, segregate, and control non-conforming material.
- Raise quality, safety, and cost-related issues to minimize exposure.
- Conduct internal audits such as 5S and Layered Process Audits (LPA) .
- Support compliance with IATF and internal quality systems.
Continuous Improvement & Automation
- Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
- Apply basic problem-solving methodologies and QC tools.
- Support TBWS (The Cummins Way of Manufacturing) structure and practices.
- Apply basic knowledge of cobots, robot teaching, welding processes, Industry 4.0, and machine automation.
Teamwork & Development
- Communicate effectively with assigned teams and cross-functional support groups.
- Complete required training and personal development aligned with business needs.
- Participate actively in initiatives to improve quality, safety, process efficiency, material flow, and employee development.
- May instruct or coach team members as experience grows.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience as permitted by applicable regulations.
- This role may require licensing or authorization to comply with export control or sanctions regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of QC tools and problem-solving methodologies .
- Experience in mass production assembly line environments .
- Basic understanding of manual and automated welding processes .
- Knowledge of TBWS , IATF , and HSEMS systems.
- Basic exposure to cobots, robotics, Industry 4.0, and machine automation .
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Oracle .
Experience
- Requires some relevant work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in a manufacturing environment.
