Job Description

Performs chemical tests following the established procedures.

Responsibilities

List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.

  • Responsible for performing laboratory analytical tests to the raw materials and finished products following the established parameters(Abbvie policies, FDA, cGMP) and applicable regulations without impact to the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory work flow.
  • Document the results of the tests and analysis performed accurately.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and standardize the laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in the implementation of special projects and test method transfers.
  • Resolve typical technical problems with minimum intervention of the scientist or others.
  • Perform changes to existence procedures or create new as required.
  • Actively participate in training of new employees.
  • Responsible for the coordination and distribution of tasks when required.
  • Prepare presentations as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Natural Sciences with major in Chemistry.
  • Minimum of two years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent in an analytical laboratory.
  • Knowledge and abilities in managing analytical instruments.
