DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Credit Controller who is hardworking, a team player with a positive attitude and reliable nature to join our team specializing in Finance Operations for our Corporate Organization in Scoresby, VIC.

In this role, you will manage a large ledger and take responsibility for the New South Wales and New Zealand ledgers.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Process customer credit card payments accurately and ensure timely application to accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute adhoc customer account statements and resolve inquiries promptly.
  • Conduct telephone collections and issue friendly reminders and demand notices.
  • Perform fortnightly aged trial balance reviews with your manager and monthly 1:1 meetings.
  • Manage account reconciliations, stop credit activities, and monitor/authorize order releases.
  • Analyze account data to identify discrepancies and assist with root cause investigations for late payments.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance Accounts Receivable efficiency and reduce overdue balances.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Manage the collection of cash sale accounts.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial processes and customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional finance or accounting coursework preferred.
  • Previous experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to manage large ledgers and prioritize multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems (Movex, SAP or similar).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and reliability in meeting deadlines and targets.
