Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, Global Commercial Finance
Expedia Group B2B is the business-to-business arm of Expedia Group. We bring Expedia Group’s innovative technology and distribution solutions to partners across the world. These businesses include global financial institutions, corporate managed travel, offline travel agents, global travel suppliers (like major airlines) and many more.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Finance team within B2B. This is a key role, reporting to the Finance Manager – Global Commercial Support.
The successful candidate will be a business partner with the regional Sales and Finance teams, providing key reporting & insights, and helping the team to unlock operational efficiencies that translate to better business performance. In addition, they will consolidate operational reporting for B2B, including preparing divisional and leadership MBRs & QBRs, materials for the Board of Directors/Investor Relations, and materials to assist with the review and presentation of B2B forecasts to leadership.
Core responsibilities include gathering and consolidating financial and business inputs across all of B2B’s regional divisions, preparing slides and summary documents of the key B2B story for executive reporting, financial modelling, competitive analysis, business case development, forecasting, and identifying and implementing strategies to drive operational efficiencies and automation.
In this role, you will:
Ensure delivery of monthly and quarterly business performance metrics and insights for distribution to B2B Sales and Finance management
Assist with the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management information and high-level commentary for distribution at an Executive level
Assist with the modelling of the long-range financial plan (3+ years), by building and enhancing the financial model, partnering closely with Finance, Strategy, and Sales leadership to gather key insights and divisional growth drivers, and translating these into clear financial targets and growth ambitions for the organization
Work with the Finance Manager, Finance team, and Sales leadership to drive improvements in operational reporting, focused on delivering greater insight to business performance
Perform ad-hoc analysis to support cross-regional commercial projects and initiatives as well as deep-dives into specific topics to support the growth of the business and mitigate risk
Support the Finance Manager to enhance, develop and implement improved processes and controls, to facilitate sustainable, profitable scaling of the B2B business
Leverage AI and automation to increase efficiency across all applicable responsibilities
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
Highly fluent in English (written and spoken)
Confirmed commercial finance experience
Validated ability to analyze data to solve business problems and provide strong business insight and recommendations
Proven ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-financial audiences
Strong Excel skills, including model building, formula optimisation, data validation and error troubleshooting
Experience leveraging AI agents, Power Pivot, and Power BI is a plus
Proven ability to deep-dive into large data sets and identify key drivers or unusual variances
Proven ability to operate autonomously and to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
Proven ability to think “outside the box” as required and identify alternative solutions
A relationship builder, exceptional listener and team player
