Director, Program Management Office
The Director, Program Management Office leads the operational, strategic, and delivery disciplines that enable Technology to execute with clarity, predictability, and business impact. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, portfolio leadership, and organizational effectiveness ensuring the right initiatives are prioritized, resourced, governed, and delivered to support CIO objectives.
You will be part of the global Strategy & Operations PMO leadership team, driving operational rigor, financial discipline, portfolio governance, and program execution across a complex, matrixed organization. This role creates structure where ambiguity exists, accelerates decision-making across senior stakeholders, and ensures strategic programs deliver measurable business value.
Partnering closely with CIO leadership and functional leaders, this role is accountable for elevating delivery practices, improving operational maturity, and enabling Technology to meet its strategic, financial, and execution commitments. By connecting people, processes, and information, this leader ensures the organization operates with transparency, alignment, and performance.
The ideal candidate has the ability to lead the breadth of operations the CIO organization and brings deep expertise in portfolio management, program delivery, operational excellence, and organizational leadership, combined with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on with the details that ensure execution success.
About the Role
As a Director, Program Management Office, your key responsibilities will include:
Portfolio, Program & Delivery Leadership
Leading the delivery of global, regional, and functional programs, ensuring business and technical outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and at high quality.
Establishing, championing, and continuously improving PMO best practices, delivery frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes.
Promoting PMO services to the wider organization and engaging business partners in new initiatives.
Overseeing a portfolio of enterprise initiatives, ensuring visibility, health assessments, risk management, and alignment to strategic priorities.
Driving the creation and maintenance of an enterprise portfolio view, including demand, resource needs, dependencies, risks, and benefits realization.
Resolving conflicts across competing priorities across portfolios and facilitate timely executive decision making.
Operational & Financial Management
Managing organizational budgets, forecasts, and financial governance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with strategic plans.
Ensuring program benefits are identified, quantified, monitored, and reported through organizational financial processes.
Governance, Reporting & Organizational Visibility
Establishing reporting standards and ensure clear visibility into portfolio project status and health.
Defining and maintaining reporting standards that provide timely insight into program health, performance, risks, and resource needs.
Delivering executive ready communication, narrative framing, and structured analysis to facilitate strategic alignment and informed choices.
Driving customer satisfaction through the on‑time, on‑budget delivery of committed business and technical deliverables.
Change Leadership & Cross Functional Influence
Driving organizational change required to adopt new processes, delivery models, and operating disciplines.
Building and maintaining relationships with senior leaders.
Ensuring teams are equipped with the communication, tools, and processes needed to operate with clarity and confidence.
Championing continuous improvement and the adoption of industry leading practices.
People Leadership & Team Development
Leading, developing, and inspiring a high performing global PMO team.
Sourcing and developing talent, ensuring capabilities evolve in line with organizational needs.
Fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence, ensuring teams are motivated and consistently deliver high quality outcomes.
Navigating and resolving conflict effectively, creating an environment where people work respectfully and productively.
About You
You are a strong fit for the role of Director, Program Management Office if your background includes:
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience with a strong focus on project management/delivery.
A proven track record driving change and leading largescale programs or portfolios within a complex, global, matrixed organization.
Experience managing budgets, financial processes, and investment governance at scale.
Prior experience working in a large, geographically dispersed organization.
Expertise in MS Office.
Leadership & Technical Skills
Deep expertise in PMO governance, portfolio management, and delivery best practices.
Strong understanding of organizational dynamics, and enterprise planning.
Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across diverse functional areas.
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills; able to synthesize complexity into clear action.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of framing complex issues for multiple audiences.

The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $137,200 USD - $254,800 USD. For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $155,000 CAD - $205,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
