Role Summary:
As a Senior Engineer in Data Governance & Capabilities, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level data governance solutions, ensuring data quality, compliance, and accessibility. This role emphasizes technical execution, solution design, and automation.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Primary Responsibilities:
Understand and implement Data Governance strategy and framework by developing technical solutions for key data management capabilities such as Metadata,Data Quality and Data Lineage.
Collaborate with Data Platform, Data Architecture, and other capability teams to implement technical standards, processes, and frameworks for execution.
Work closely with Data Domain teams to design and build data products (e.g., Investments, Distribution, Corporate) by applying governance principles and integrating data quality checks.
Serve as SME for enterprise data governance tools such as Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), MANTA, and Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
Work closely with data stewards, Tech Squads and business analysts to analyze and translate business needs into an data quality management architecture that seamlessly integrates with the current system and data assets with the new strategy
Partner with data stewards and business teams to provide summary results of data quality analysis, which will be used to make decisions regarding how to measure business rules and quality of the data
Review and resolve data governance and data quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive measures. Automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes for efficiency.
Ensure adherence to data governance standards and processes in day-to-day technical work. Identify process gaps and drive improvements through automation and optimization.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and adaptability to dynamic environments, addressing changing business and technology priorities.
Develop a deep technical understanding of end-to-end investment management processes, associated data flows, and potential data quality issues impacting operations.
Support continuous improvement by contributing to data quality dashboards and reporting using tools like Power BI and other visualization platforms.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
5+ years’ experience in Data Governance/ Data Management space. Understand the Data lifecycle management and had proven experience in working one or more data management knowledge areas of Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, Dat Governance, Data Integration, Master data Management.
3–5 years of experience in data engineering or data quality development roles.
Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks and technical implementation of Metadata and Data Quality tools.
Hands-on experience with Informatica DQ, PowerCenter, EDC, Axon, MANTA, and related technologies.
Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE) and data modeling concepts.
Exposure to data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.
Has worked on Cloud – Data Migrations projects and has good understanding of technologies like AWS, Snowflake Data Marts. Data Analysis skills – SQL / PL SQL, Python

• Ability to communicate well with different audiences with clarity and conciseness demonstrated by
well-developed written and verbal skills, and the ability to deliver content to moderate-sized groups
• Rich attention to detail to capture and communicate complex topics
• Ability to judge the significance of issues and escalate accordingly to Data Governance Managers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to utilize tools commonly available tools, e.g., PowerPoint or Visio, to diagram data or process flows
Formal Education:
Graduate Degree in computer science or relevant experience in the technology
