Job Details
This role – Business Analytics Analyst – is a developing professional role. It would entail being a hands-on analytical contributor working on Business Analysis and Insights. Selected candidate is expected to apply Banking domain knowledge to design analytical solutions to answer key business questions pertinent to customer behavior, product penetration, customer experience across channels etc. Furthermore, selected candidate is expected to translate the insights into actionable recommendations, i.e., implement required changes to the business strategy, working in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Job Summary:
Accountable & Responsible for delivering analytics initiatives and projects, focused on improving sales and revenue across different wealth products
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve sales and marketing efforts. Work closely with analytics and products team to understand business problems and help them deliver using data-driven decisions
Working with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) for the purposes of analysis, leveraging relevant programming tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python).
Bring story telling skills and ability to influence key stakeholders towards desired outcomes
Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
The ideal candidate would have:
3-6 years of experience in marketing analytics roles with exposure to financial services domain
Experience in Big Data environment handling data extraction / manipulation from huge / complex databases using SAS / SQL / Python for 3+ years
Strong communication, presentation, and story-telling skills
Ability to structure the problem, hypothesis-driven approach, problem solving skills and strong Analytical ability are important
Ability to articulate the problem, approach, and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and business audience
Experience, if any with multi-channel and cross-channel attribution
Expertise in creating and driving quantifiable metrics/KPIs and leverage consumer data to find quality customers to acquire, engage, retain, and reactivate through different marketing channels
Good team player
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Business Administration, Economics etc. from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability. Master’s degree has an added advantage.
