Senior HR Business Partner

Reporting to the HR Director, Netherlands

Your role at AbbVie

  • Exciting job where you seamlessly switch between daily operational HR activities and providing tactical/strategic advice.
  • You will work within a complex, international matrix and setting where you can build bridges between local interests and global HR priorities. And you will collaborate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders: senior leadership, employees, local teams, international managers, and Centers of Excellence.

  • As the Talent Champion you are a strategic HR partner to the business. You will drive talent processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring diverse, high-potential talent is identified, developed, and aligned for long-term organizational success.

 

Highlighted Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the global HR strategy for our commercial organization, translating objectives into operational, tactical, and strategic actions.
  • Advise and coach people leaders and employees on HR topics (performance, development, change, reorganizations, etc.).
  • Active member of the national HR team and team lead for several national initiatives/projects.
  • Partner and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence teams like Total rewards and Talent Management.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to drive an excellent hiring & onboarding process. 
  • Design & implement employee development programs across all levels of the organization to ensure future talent is developed including leadership development programs.
  • Support & realize changes in organizational structure and identify and implement initiatives that promote organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop & deliver culture and employee engagement initiatives and participate in cross-functional teams to assure positive employee relations and promote a Best Workplace culture within the organization.
  • Deliver clear and inspiring HR communications, in close collaboration with PR and other departments.
  • Provide relevant HR analytics for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR or other relevant disciplines
  • 7- 10 years relevant HR experience in areas like managing Employee Relations, Organizational Effectiveness and Design, Recruitment, Total Rewards and Talent Management
  • Experience in a matrixed, international environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Team worker
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch labor laws, regulations and practices
  • Fluently in Dutch and English both verbally and in written.
