- Over 5 years of relevant experience in financial services with a focus on credit and risk assessment
- Strong communication skills, consistently delivering clear, concise, and grammatically accurate reports and presentations, complemented by fluency in English and Spanish.
- Proven initiative, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and teamwork
- Proactive mindset, showing initiative and independence in problem-solving and teamwork

Education
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Progress toward professional certifications (e.g., CFA) is a plus
We are seeking an experienced and driven Analyst to join our Financial Institutions Group team in Mexico City. This role involves managing a portfolio of Latin American banks and non-bank financial institutions rated by Moody’s.
- Perform initial and ongoing credit analysis of financial institutions in Latin America, primarily in Mexico and Central America, ensuring timely monitoring and recommending appropriate ratings, in line with Moody’s methodologies
- Produce high quality in-depth research reports about issuers, credit trends and sector-specific developments
- Conduct detailed quantitative analysis of financial statements, economic indicators, and market data
- Develop and articulate clear rating rationales and present analyses at rating committees
- Establishing and maintaining high-profile relationships with investors and issuers through industry engagement, topical research, and market interactions.
- Actively monitor assigned portfolio and recommend timely rating actions
- Mentor and develop junior analysis and associates, fostering growth and analytical expertise within the team
