We're seeking someone to join our Security Development Operation team as a developer in Cyber Data Risk & Resilience to build security applications and the Firm's core security controls.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Cyber Security Engineer position at Associate level, which is responsible for analyzing user requirements and business objectives, determining application features and functionality, and recommending changes to existing security applications, among other duties.

What you'll do in the role:
- Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment.
- Research, develop tech solutions based on communicated requirements and tech design
- Monitor software applications and systems to ensure availability and performance.
- Assist in incident response activities and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Participate in automation efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Enhance existing Cyber security solutions prioritized based on client feedback, issues on PROD, internal discussion etc.
- Create documentation/support procedures and assist operation/SRE team for operational work.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and resilience of software applications.
- Contribute to root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring incidents.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging cyber threats and technologies. What you'll bring to the role:
- Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience of using scripting language. e.g. Shell, Regular expression
- Experience with both front-end (like HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and back-end technologies (like Django or Flask).
- Experience with system and application performance monitoring and mapping tools.
- Experience with Agile methodology, e.g. sprint planning, daily Scrum, retrospective etc.
- Basic knowledge of using Linux.
- Basic knowledge of information security, such as identity access and management, data leakage protection, Crypto etc.
- Awareness of Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Splunk, Public Cloud management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach.
- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
