DESCRIPTION
Cummins is looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to complete its team in Tumbler Ridge, BC.
This position will support our mining operations.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Establish and continually develops productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Identifies additional sales and service opportunities with customer.
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory
- Valid local driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
- A clean driver’s abstract is mandatory for this position.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Advanced level field service work experience
- Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
- Customer facing service experience is required.
- High Horsepower engine experience is required.
- Mining and Oil & Gas experience.

- Safety Sensitive Position
- 14 shifts on, 14 shifts off rotation
- Day shift with potential night shifts
- Work is in Tumbler Ridge, BC. Cummins provides transport from Grande-Prairie* to the job site.
- Random drug and alcohol testing on site.
- Commute vehicle and tooling are provided on site.

- Work is outdoor, weather conditions can be varied.
