DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Customer Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engines Office Turkey Country Support Department in Istanbul or İzmir, Türkiye .
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Serve as the technical liaison between OEMs and customers during new product development programs.
- Apply Cummins products to customer vehicles by developing technical specifications and implementing design configurations.
- Deliver high-performance, cost-effective equipment and system solutions integrated with customer products.
- Investigate integration and installation issues, recommend actions, and document resolutions.
- Support and improve processes such as Installation Quality Assurance and OEM integration using tools like COLS and GCE.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and VPI Teams to provide product data and installation requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customer technical teams to manage specifications, communicate changes, and resolve installation issues.
- Translate customer needs into functional product requirements and advocate for them during design reviews and product changes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines and powertrains.
- Experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Strong communication skills combined with conflict management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage projects effectively, including risk assessment and prioritization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (or equivalent) is required.
- A relevant Master’s degree may be required for certain specialized roles.
