The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
Fixed Income: ABS Lending - Vice President
The Fixed Income Division Securitized Products Group is seeking a Vice President with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in ABS Lending, Capital Markets ABS, Structured Finance or a related field. Relevant asset class experience may include digital infrastructure, esoterics, transportation, consumer or core infrastructure. The role will include working directly with clients and the capital markets, investment banking, asset management, credit and syndication teams to help pitch, structure, and execute transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with investment banking and capital markets coverage partners to originate transactions that fit Morgan Stanley’s risk and return appetite
Cover all aspects of the ABS lending transaction process, including origination, negotiation of key terms, structuring, credit analysis and closing
Manage the workflow and development of junior team members, and assist senior team members in strategic growth of the platform
Work with internal and external counterparts including clients, credit partners, accounting firms, legal counsel, and others to execute on all aspects of ABS lending transactions
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ABS Lending or Structured Finance
Strong oral / written communication skills and presentation skills
Comfort and familiarity with legal documentation and securitization structures is required
Ability to operate collaboratively within a team and train junior team members
Creative and strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mind-set
An undergraduate degree is required, master’s degree is a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Vice President. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
