Job details

Overview

At Esri, we believe communities are better when they work together. ArcGIS Hub helps organizations share open and secure content, build beautiful sites that communicate missions and priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders through projects, events, and engagement tools. As part of the ArcGIS Hub team, you’ll help shape the future of how people connect with trusted information—internally and publicly—and how organizations work across boundaries to make meaningful progress.

This role focuses primarily on ArcGIS Hub’s site builder capabilities and sharing capabilities that allow organizations to curate and publish authoritative content.

Responsibilities
  • Influence and help shape the product roadmap, particularly ArcGIS Hub’s site builder and open data sharing capabilities, providing clear input that reflects customer needs and market opportunities
  • Translate product vision into clear specifications, including writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that outline the problems, desired outcomes, user stories, and required functionality for a feature so engineering teams can build the right solution
  • Partner closely with engineering and UX to refine user stories, prioritize backlogs, and ensure high quality, iterative delivery
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand workflows around site creation, open and secure sharing, metadata, and governance—and bring those insights back into the product development process
  • Collaborate across ArcGIS teams to ensure cohesive publishing and discovery workflows between ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Support cross functional teams (documentation, product marketing, support) to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adoption of new capabilities
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in product management or related role building SaaS or web-based tools, customer education, or customer success
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, design, and cross functional partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication—able to articulate requirements and rationale clearly
  • Experience with geospatial technology, civic engagement, open data, or community collaboration platforms
  • Requirement for travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, or other relevant field
Recommended Qualifications
  • Master's in GIS, computer science, engineering, or other relevant field
  • Familiar with ArcGIS, including how items, sharing, and metadata affect discoverability and reuse
  • Understanding of geospatial standards, metadata standards, and publishing workflows
  • Comfortable reasoning about site building tools, user experience patterns, and content governance
  • Experience supporting external stakeholders through documentation, training, or enablement
  • Familiarity with agile product development processes and tools
