We are looking for a talented Site Quality Engineer – Senior to join our team specializing in Quality for our Plainfield, IN location.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Quality Systems Expertise: Apply knowledge of quality standards such as IATF, APQP, and PPAP to ensure products and processes meet both initial and long-term customer requirements.
- Issue Resolution and Containment: Lead containment activities and manage corrective action systems to address plant-level customer issues quickly and effectively.
- Change Management and VPI Support: Support and lead change management initiatives for current products and Value Package Introduction (VPI), verifying that key performance measures are met through data analysis and process validation.
- Audit and Compliance Leadership: Conduct and support quality audits to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement across operations.
- Technical Resource and Mentorship: Serve as a technical quality resource to other functions and mentor less experienced team members in quality practices and problem-solving methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Utilize proven methodologies such as lean manufacturing, 7-step problem solving, and IQTM tools to prioritize and lead improvement initiatives with cross-functional partners.
- AIAG Core Tools Application: Demonstrate a working knowledge of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) core tools to support structured quality planning and execution.
- Safe Launch and On-Site Commitment: Lead or support Safe Launch activities during VPI and maintain a strong on-site presence to ensure hands-on engagement with plant operations and quality systems.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of experience required. Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry. Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience required.
