Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our WM Technology team as a Java - Full stack, in Client Platforms to in MSAW Platform Solutions Tech to help drive program automation and strategy.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
1. The candidate will create and maintain web applications primarily using Java and React.
2. Job duties include developing software applications using a programming language or framework such as HTML, CSS, Java, and JavaScript; debugging and troubleshooting issues as they arise; creating patches and updates for web-based applications; and integrating Java applications with other programs using APIs.
3. The candidate will actively participate in detailed design sessions with the team, engage hands-on coding and testing, and collaborate closely with users, BA, SMs and development teams in New York and Offshore locations
4. The Client Channels (CC) technology organization is responsible for the design, development and delivery of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Client facing website and mobile app.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1. 5-7 years’ work experience primarily with building server-side applications using J2EE.
2. Excellent Java and Multithreading programming skills
3. Excellent Design skills (Design Patterns, GOF)
4. Experience with MVC frameworks like Spring and microservices framework
5. Experience with distributed cache.
6. Good understanding on building SPAs using frontend technologies ( React, Angular 10)
7. Web services (REST)
8. Agile Methodology (Scrum)
9. Good with databases
10. Knowledge of application servers (Apache Tomcat/WebSphere)
11. Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Autosys
12. Unix or Linux development and working knowledge
13. A thorough understanding of web technologies and web architectures including responsive design
14. Knowledge of internet attack vectors, protection mechanisms, web application vulnerabilities and their solutions.
15. Source control (preferably Git), Continuous Integration tools
16. Strong knowledge of server-side languages including Java and SQL
