Job Summary
Responsible for execution and continuous improvement of key processes within the New and/or Current Product Quality space, with a strong focus on embedded software quality for Euro VII products. This role acts as an internal quality champion on behalf of the customer, partnering closely with Customer Quality, Business Units, and global Software Engineering teams (US, UK, China, India) to ensure robust software quality outcomes, process excellence, and successful Euro VII product launches
Key Responsibilities Software Quality & Product Excellence
- Accountable for overall embedded software quality for Euro VII products.
- Ensure embedded software products comply with all Cummins Software Quality standards.
- Define, monitor, and track meaningful quality KPIs in collaboration with Business Unit partners to drive quality outcomes.
- Champion defect reduction initiatives and drive faster FIRG containment and resolution.
- Collaborate with Business Unit partners and Software Engineering teams to remove Euro VII FIRG roadblocks.
Process Ownership & Improvement
- Own and ensure capability of assigned quality processes within the business unit or entity.
- Lead and sponsor process improvements related to PQC, GPRP, VPI, PPP, assessments, or related quality processes.
- Ensure processes are operational, capable, and meeting evolving business needs.
- Define and execute roadmaps for future process improvements.
- Champion Everest/NS7 process enhancements for Euro VII programs. Lead process improvements initiatives unique to Olympus and Kailash
- Use systems thinking to analyze requirements, design, integration, and testing processes to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Partner across Software Engineering functions and global regions (China, UK, US, India) to sustain and standardize software process enhancements.
- Communicate and collaborate with CCS, EBU, PSBU, and Accelera leadership teams to ensure alignment and execution success.
- Act as a strong partner to Customer Quality and advocate for the voice of the customer (VOC).
Leadership, Coaching & Governance
- Ensure users of quality processes are trained, capable, and supported with clear escalation paths.
- Coach best practices for effective execution of quality and VPI processes.
- Escalate resource, capability, or requirement gaps that impact process performance.
- Use strong project management skills to plan, track, and deliver improvement initiatives while managing competing priorities.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Certified Green Belt preferred (General, PPS, or 6 Sigma Statistics).
Licenses / Certifications
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export control or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Significant relevant experience required .
- Strong background in software development, tuning, or validation for commercial vehicle or power systems applications.
- Experience defining, monitoring, and improving software quality is strongly preferred.
