Key Responsibilities
- Support commercial product manufacturing & pipeline product development.
- Develop scalable & robust engineering processes for key modalities (e.g., small molecule APIs, antibody drug conjugates, & natural products).
- Investigate, identify, develop, & optimize new methods & techniques to generate reliable & reproducible data.
- Read & adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments & demonstrate broad & versatile technical expertise.
Education & Experience
Must have a Bachelors in chemical or biological engineering, materials science or a related field or foreign education equivalent, & 3 years of work experience as a chemical engineer or related discipline. Of work experience required, must have 3 years of each of the following: (i) leveraging core chemical engineering principles (chemical kinetics, transport phenomena, thermodynamics, mathematical modelling) in experimental design, thought process in problem-solving, & data analysis; (ii) performing laboratory experimentation, pilot plant, & /or manufacturing support, with direction from or interaction with supervisor; (iii) formulating conclusions & design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data; (iv) pursuing areas of investigation that are scientifically impactful to development and pipeline programs; (v) designing & conducting data driven experiments that further project goals; (vi) applying theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline; & (vii) performing analytical techniques including HPLC.
Alternatively, would accept a MS in chemical or biological engineering, materials science or a related field or foreign education equivalent, & 1 year of work experience as a chemical engineer or related discipline. Of experience required, must have 1 year of each of the following: (i) leveraging core chemical engineering principles (chemical kinetics, transport phenomena, thermodynamics, mathematical modelling) in experimental design, thought process in problem-solving, & data analysis; (ii) performing laboratory experimentation, pilot plant, & /or manufacturing support, with direction from or interaction with supervisor; (iii) formulating conclusions & design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data; (iv) pursuing areas of investigation that are scientifically impactful to development and pipeline programs; (v) designing & conducting data driven experiments that further project goals; (vi) applying theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline; & (vii) performing analytical techniques including HPLC.
Work experience may be gained concurrently. Will accept any reasonable combination of education, training & work experience.
Salary Range: $93,500.00 - $138,500.00 per year.
