Location: Port Elizabeth
For our new created Org-structure in South Africa, we’re seeking Kitroom Coordinators within our Loan Kit Operations team for our site in Port Elizabeth (South Africa). In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in the end-to-end return, inspection, assembly, replenishment, and shipment of customer loan kits – across short-term consignments, demonstrations, education, and long-term consignments. You’ll ensure our kits are complete, compliant, and ready for patient-impacting procedures, while supporting continuous improvement, throughput, and “best-in-class” customer experience.
What you will do:
You will own and execute activities across the full kit lifecycle – from receiving and inspection to assembly, replenishment, shipment, and decommission.
Managing daily workload, report progress across stakeholders (Asset, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Commercial), and helping driving kit performance, accuracy, and on-time delivery using Lean/Continuous Improvement tools.
On a daily basis, you’ll receive, categorize, and organize returned kits according to franchise and instrument/implant type.
Inspect sterile and non‑sterile kits for tray accuracy and complete documentation, promptly escalating any urgent issues or discrepancies.
Pick and prepare kits for shipment in priority order (same‑day, international, remaining), ensuring accuracy, correct paperwork, and close coordination with the warehouse team.
Conduct physical quality checks of instruments and implants, support complaint and non‑conformance investigations, and generate accurate billing information for invoicing.
Replenish incomplete kits, seal/wrap kits for shipment, process Sale‑or‑Return items, and complete put away tasks.
Assemble kits according to BOM (Bill of Materials) for loaner, long‑term consignment, demo, and education use; ensure correct storage and readiness for dispatch.
Manage kit lifecycle activities in ERP, including builds, shipments, returns, inspections, decommissioning, conversions, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) updates, and handling of exceptions (late/lost deliveries, repairs, defective items, missing parts, quality returns).
What you need :
Required:
Matric
3+ years of experience in Logistics/Warehouse Operations; ideally within MedTech, Pharma, or other regulated environments.
Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Understanding of operations and general Logistics processes.
Ability to prioritize and to work independently in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
Commitment to compliance, ethical behavior, and reliable time management; flexibility with rotational shifts and call out.
Passionate about medical technology, driven to achieve goals and deliver excellent customer service.
Empathy, accountability and commitment to understanding customer needs and contributing to better healthcare.
Preferred:
NQF5 (or studying towards a diploma or degree).
Advanced degree (College/University).
Experience with kit receiving, replenishment, and outbound operations.
Experience in inspecting manufactured goods or assembling instrumentation.
Hands‑on ERP experience for kit lifecycle and inventory processes.
Exposure to dimensional/electrical inspection of assemblies.
Ability to read/interpret prints and BOMs.
Familiarity with Lean/CI, 6S, RFID, and automated/robotic inspection tools.
