INTERNSHIP: BIOVIA Quality Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities

As a Software Quality Engineer Intern with BIOVIA R&D Quality team you will work with leading edge automation tools inside of our enterprise environment, with our cloud-first approach, to reduce turnaround time for software validation tests and integration of AI virtual assistants, enabling greater value delivery to customers.

We will mentor you in real-world life science software development and multi-threaded distributed software test automation tools.

The BIOVIA R&D Quality team works closely with the Development team to plan, test, and release world-class cloud and on-premise software solutions.

• Improve the automation of our release and deployment process towards the goal of rapid integration of high quality AI virtual assistants across the BIOVIA product suite
• Communicate and collaborate among cross-functional teams in a multinational environment
• Work in a fast-paced and challenging environment 

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a program at a college or university for the duration of the internship
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
• Ability to shift directions quickly when priorities change
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work onsite for the duration of the internship
• Understanding of the software development process
• Experience with Java, Groovy, or Python
• Windows or Linux operating system administration a plus
• Willingness to learn new technology products to support the job

This paid internship is on-site at our San Diego, CA office with a flexible start date. You will be expected to follow a hybrid work model.
