We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director within Firmwide Operations Division. Client Onboarding and Reference Data Services is an Operations group is responsible for adherence to client regulatory requirements during the life of the client’s relationship with Morgan Stanley.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Supervisor position at Director level within Client Service & Relationship Management, which is responsible for managing internal and external client relationships. We do this by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships.

What you'll do in the role:
Serve as the primary supervisor within specific line or project area with accountability to associated risks
Manage direct reports, leading 1:1s and career development, attracting and retaining high quality talent in line with our leadership commitments
Review resources to ensure adequate coverage to deliver BAU commitments, highlighting current and future needs to manager
Share expert knowledge across the team, contributing to team output and ensuring diverse viewpoints are heard
Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes.
Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues
Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution.
Perform independent Checker reviews of NCNB KYC cases in line with CORDS NCNB Checker Procedures and scope definitions.
Partner with Transformation, QC, and Workflow teams to embed automation and scalable solutions into NCNB Checker processes
What you'll bring to the role:
At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in KYC, Client Onboarding, Regulatory Operations, Quality Control
Prepared to challenge the status quo, raise concerns and/or needs of their team members
Ability to pitch communication appropriately according to the audience and demonstrate active listening skills
Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model
Experience in a Checker / QA / Audit / Control role within financial services strongly preferred
Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives using data driven insights and automation
Experience with Power BI (dashboarding, DAX), Alteryx, Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, macros/VBA preferred)
Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, adapt management style to suit individuals and ensure team is well supported with a sense of purpose
