DESCRIPTION
Manage warranty submission and rejection and develop an understanding of repetitive warranty issues to provide feedback to the organization to ensure product and service improvement. Manage the total operation, equipment, building, maintenance, and repair activities throughout the location. Ensure Cummins’ values are present in Branch employee relations, community involvement, diversity, and health, safety, and environment activities. Monitor Repair Event Cycle Time and implement improvements within the branches. Manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and compliance. Oversee health, safety, and environmental audits. Oversee Service and parts processes to make sure quality expectations are met. Direct the work of a cross-functional team that includes operations, finance, human resources, safety, quality, engineering, and supply chain management, thereby supporting the operation of the Branch. Manage field and shop service operations, including field service trucks with mobile technicians, as well as shop technicians to perform repairs to customer equipment in remote offsite and onsite locations. Develop the Annual Operating Plan with input from Business Development and Branch Managers. Monitor all appropriate business metrics including Branch balanced scorecards, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics. Develop a deep understanding of Cummins’ business in the region, globally, and across all business units. Manage customer satisfaction for the Branches as measured by Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer programs. Champion positive health and safety behaviors by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment. Apply the Service, Capability, Capacity and Coverage process to understand customer expectations, business priorities, and where products are operating to provide capable and consistent service through available parts, information, tools and qualified technicians according to published standards. Analyze service capability metrics to identify, prioritize, and resolve channel development opportunities within the service network. Oversee and maintain key customer relationships including selling parts and provide service support. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement and enforce defined service processes to maintain high-quality customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Positions require a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Sales or Service Engineer or Specialist, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and 5 years of experience as Sales or Service Engineer or Specialist, or related position. Experience to include: Warranty submission and rejection; Monitor Repair Event Cycle Time; Health, safety, and environmental audits; Balanced scorecards, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics; Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer programs; Service, Capability, Capacity and Coverage process; Provide capable and consistent service; Analyze service capability metrics; Channel development opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
