Senior Applied AI Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to partner closely with the CTO to design, develop, and implement applied AI solutions—including retrieval-augmented generation, LLM orchestration, and safe agentic workflows—and drive the AI-first transformation of our product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design and development of applied AI systems, including RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and APIs
• Ensure safe and reliable AI outputs by implementing guardrails, monitoring, and evaluation processes
• Rapidly prototype AI solutions and scale them to production with maintainable code
• Mentor engineers on AI best practices and safe adoption of AI technologies
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define project timelines and scope for AI initiatives
• Make effective trade-offs between managing technical debt and delivering short-term value
• Run experiments and quickly prototype to assess new tools and prospective features
• Use AI to deliver high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, setting standards and best practices for the engineering team

You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
