Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to have a significant impact on our product and engineering team’s ability to rapidly deliver high-quality solutions. This role requires strong front-end engineering skills and a keen design sense.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex software, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design standards
- Contribute directly to the design system
- Identify and address UX quick-wins throughout the product
- Partner closely with the Chief Experience Officer and designers to raise standards at the point of implementation
- Support the engineering team with design decisions and fill in UX gaps where complete designs do not exist
- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code, setting an example for coding practices and adhering to best practices
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback on code quality and ensuring visual and UX design standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions
- Innovate by researching and adopting emerging technologies, tools, and practices
- Contribute to comprehensive testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and continuous integration practices
- Enhance monitoring and logging of errors generated from the front-end
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical design specifications and implementation guides
- Support production operations of the applications by participating in technical support and release duty rotations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to design and front-end engineering

You’re a great fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of professional experience designing and building web applications for multiple projects
- Have experience working in Figma and contributing to a design system
- Possess strong visual and UX design taste
- Are familiar with Tailwind and React
- Have a passion to learn new technologies and skills
- Demonstrate ownership and self-management through clear communication and follow-through on commitments
- Have experience with automated build and deployment pipelines and testing frameworks
- Are curious about and have experience exploring how AI can transform your work
Total Compensation
The starting salary for this position is $140,000-$160,000.
